Oh my goodness, I am such a bad mommy blogger. Our little man is almost 4 months old and I haven't posted anything since his 1 month pictures? Tsk, tsk.

I'll catch you up with a quickness.

Here are some two month shots.
Aaaand, here are some pictures celebrating 3 months.

We'll be taking 4 month shots next week and he's grown so much. He's sitting up in his BeBePOD (think Bumbo, people) like a big boy and he's started rolling back to front. Of course, it's football season, so the Steelers gear has made its way out of the closet!

October brings us a baptism and Halloween, so we'll have more great pictures to share soon. Until then, be sure to check out our photo site at http://livinglavitacorso.shutterfly.com.

Welcome to the World, Nicholas Christopher Corso!

We're so sorry that it's taken over a week to get this on the blog, but we'd like to announce the birth of our beautiful son, Nicholas "Cole" Christopher Corso. He was born May 30, 2009 via c-section at 12:51 A.M. weighing 7 lb 6 oz at 21 inches long.

We've been home a week today and it's been a whirlwind. Cole is still getting adjusted to this strange new world, while Mommy and Daddy are still getting adjusted to living on little to no sleep. Grandma and Grandpa Tomeo have been here taking care of us, but unfortunately, they can't stay forever and are headed home today. Eek!

We can't wait for everyone to meet our little guy. Until then, enjoy these pictures of his first few days. The rest can be found on our Shutterfly page.

Maternity Photos

We were blessed with an offer from our friend Chelsey to shoot some maternity photos for us a couple of weeks ago. Chelsey is an up and coming photographer who is new to the Atlanta area, and she's fabulous. We got the pictures today and wanted to share a few of them with you. We could go on and on about how amazing they are, but they truly do speak for themselves. We got almost 250 shots, so if you want to see more, email us!

The Nursery is Finished!

Chris is on spring break this week, so we took the opportunity to finish the baby's room. Before you see the pictures, we should warn you that we have a small house and next to no storage space. So, if the baby's room looks a little cramped, it is!
Take a peek at our light switch cover.

Oh, and there's one final detail that we're still working on. We got these adorable animals on a beautiful diaper cake that Lauren made for the baby shower. We're going to find some little shadow boxes for them and hang them over the bed. See how cute they are.
Speaking of the baby shower, we should have pictures to share soon. Naelyn was so kind to bring her godmother to the shower. She was in town for a few days and is a professional photographer. As soon as we get the pictures from her, we'll post them for all to see.

Beyond that, we're just waiting for the little guy to finish brewing. He will be full term in 3 short weeks and we've already let him know that he's welcome to make his appearance any time after that. We can't wait to meet him and we can't wait for you guys to meet him too.

Nursery Progress

Today is Mommy's birthday party. Mommy and Daddy are headed to the park with friends to celebrate. Fun!

The nursery is not finished but we've made some progress.
Here's what we started with:
A box and a room that needed to be painted. Luckily, Grandpa Steve is a painter! So, he came over and painted Baby Corso's room. Thanks, Grandpa Steve! After Grandpa Steve finished painting, Daddy put the crib together. The room was finally starting to shape up.
Since then, we've added a rug, a dresser, and, thanks to friends and family, a ton of gifts!

If you're paying attention (and yes, there will be a quiz!), you'll notice that we're still missing a mattress and our bedding, as well as a couple other things. This is because Daddy refuses to let Mommy buy anything until after the shower. Of course, this is the smart thing to do but asking a pregnant woman to wait to finish her nursery is just cruel and unusual punishment.

The shower is in two weeks, and the nursery will be finished within hours if it's up to Mommy. Probably more like days, though. We'll be sure to update with pictures of the room once it's baby ready!

Welcome to Our Blog!

Welcome to the Corso family blog and our first official post. We hope this will be a place for family and friends to keep updated on all the exciting news of Baby Corso (and Mom and Dad, too.)

Let's get everyone up to speed. We are officially 30 weeks today. Only 10 more weeks before our lives are forever changed and we get to meet our sweet, sweet baby. As of now, our official due date is May 29th. If he waits a day and comes on May 30th, he will share a birthday with his Great Grandma Corso!

Most everyone knows by now that we are having a little boy. If you didn't, surprise, it's a boy! While we have a list of names that we like, we have decided that we will wait until we see his precious little face to pick the perfect one. His middle name will be Christopher, after his father, which is a Corso family tradition.

Here's an ultrasound picture from his 20 week scan.

Everything is progressing beautifully and we've been very lucky to have a healthy and happy pregnancy. We can't wait until he's here and we can share photos and video of our beautiful little family.

We love and miss you all!
